Police Memorial Unveiled In Tacoma
TACOMA - Fallen police officers were honored in Tacoma Thursday with the unveiling of a memorial. There are two abstract pieces of art by Port Orchard artist James Kelsey.

He created them in honor of the 10 Tacoma police officers who have died in the line of duty.

The taller piece represents a person with arms held high above their head allowing the 'thin blue line' to blow in the wind.

Fallen officer James Lewis' brother Don Lewis says, "This is great. It represents who they are and what they stand for and it's just a way of remembering how they served us."

The new memorial is located at the new Tacoma police headquarters
