Woman Credits Cat With Saving Her Life

Natalie told us that two weeks ago, she was not feeling well. She laid down for a nap until Posty got her up.
"The first thing I was aware of was her brushing against my face and it woke me up. The next thing I was aware of was that I was blind," said Natalie.
Natalie had suffered kidney failure, severe dehydration and temporary loss of her eyesight.
"I thought it was the next morning. Later on we pieced together it was three and a half days later," remembered Natalie.
That's right, Potsy had been trying to wake her up for three days.
"Had she not been bushing up against me, I don't if we will ever know what could have happened," she said.
While we could not entice Potsy to come out and be seen with our cameras --a good brushing , tempting cat treats, nor even a favorite toy could not coax Potsy out from under the bed -- a picture on Natalie's computer shows her right after Natalie rescued her as stray and helped her through a complicated delivery of kittens.
"She was crying out in pain and just lost consciousness. I thought I'd lost her," Natalie said.
Perhaps Potsy felt the same way about Natalie and returned the favor.
"It's another step in the bonding. Were inseparable at this point," laughed Natalie.
Inseparable until a camera crew shows up. Like many heroes before her, Posty would rather stay out of the limelight.
