EATONVILLE - Investigators spent Saturday combing the ranch of Gig Harbor Boy Scout Leader. They think Price Miller Jr. may have buried evidence there.
Miller is accused of raping and sodomizing a neighbor boy starting at the age of 7.
The alleged abuse lasted 8 years and reportedly included a suicide pact if they were ever found out.
Bloodhound dog teams and 60 people searched the huge ranch. They were looking for manmade caves Miller has been known to build and searching for the smallest of clues.
"We're looking for body fluids, hairs and physical evidence - clothing, videotapes, diaries, notes books
a wide variety of things," said Lt. Rick Adamson of the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
From outward appearances, Miller had everything. He was a successful businessman, husband and father who volunteered as an Assistant Scout Master.
The rape accusations stun those who know Miller. He often used his 60-acre ranch outside Eatonville for community and scouting events.
"He's a very likable, very professional person that seemed to have very good intensions with what he wanted to do with the property to help the scouts," said Mike Jeffries of Eatonville.
Investigators say they have received leads on other possible victims, but so far none are boy scouts.
Miller is being held in the Pierce County Jail. Deeming him a flight risk, the judge set bail at $1 million.
