January is shaping up to be a musical month in the Puget Sound; in addition to Timbrrr! Outdoor Music Festival, two Capitol Hill staples are celebrating their anniversaries with a week of concerts.

Neumos and Moe Bar are turning 10 and 20, respectively -- Neumos as it stands now was the rebirth of the then-called Moe’s Mo’Roc’N Café, i.e., a "new Moe's" -- and to commemorate the milestones, Neumos, which is owned by neighborhood magnates Jason Lejeunesse, Mick Meckling, and Steve Severin, is hosting a week of shows.

Called the The Moe 20 Neumos 10th Anniversary Shows ,the lineup includes local acts like the Posies, Telekinesis, Hey Marseilles and Cataldo, as well as beloved Portland punk rock band the Thermals. Shows will run from January 9th through 16th.

Neumos is hailed as one of the cornerstone venues in the city, and is one of the largest independent music spaces on the West Coast.
