Seattle hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have recently been dropping knowledge bombs for Cracker Jack. So far, they've taught us how to hold a cat, how to clean the tires of a Cadillac, and how to remove lint. But in a pair of videos released yesterday, they get downright domestic as they learn how to iron a shirt and how to call mom.
On his Facebook page, which has nearly 3 million fans, Macklemore noted that Lewis is "an EXPERT" at ironing shirts.
The videos are part of a sponsorship deal with Cracker Jack's new line of caffeinated snacks, Cracker Jack'd. And, as a part of the promotion, fans who like the Cracker Jack'd Facebook page can even win items featured in the video, such as the ironing board or lint roller. According to Rally, the Seattle ad agency who created the campaign, the idea is to show the two in "real life," rather than as high-profile celebrities.
"The idea came out of conversations with the guys, who mentioned that before stardom, no one ever recognized them," Rally partner and creative director Keith Goldberg told AdAge.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are currently on a world tour. They'll be returning to Seattle for three consecutive Key Arena performances, two of which sold out in a matter of hours.
