Seattle-based all-female surf rock group La Luz was involved in a serious accident last night, according to their record label, Hardly Art. The band not only sustained injuries, the label says, but also totaled their van and damaged their equipment. The band was returning to Seattle to play a sold-out homecoming show at Neumos on Capitol Hill.
There is no further information available about the extent of the damage or injuries sustained, but Hardly Art says the band has "been forced to bow out of their remaining tour dates with of Montreal, starting with tonight's performance at Neumos."
The band was scheduled to play at least 10 more shows with Of Montreal.
Fans who would like to help the up-and-coming band, who KOMO profiled earlier this year, there is a PayPal account set up.
"100% of the donations will go the band as they seek to pay medical bills and purchase a new van, new equipment, and new merch," says the label.
