EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A problem with the electronic recording and transmission of data from a Boeing 777 freighter during a test flight on Monday forced a change in plans.

The Boeing freighter landed at Paine Field in Everett Monday afternoon, the same airport from which it took off in the morning. Boeing spokeswoman Sandy Angers says the FAA requires a test flight to land at the same airport where it took off when there is an instrument transmission problem. The freighter originally was scheduled to land at Boeing Field in south Seattle.

Angers says other than the telemetry problem, the test flight went well. She says the plane is doing great and the airplane and its crew were never in any danger. The company needs to do further research to find out why the instrument data was not transmitted properly.
