U.S. trade office bows to WTO ruling on Boeing

GENEVA (AP) - The United States Trade Office says the U.S. government has responded to and complied with a World Trade Organization ruling that found the U.S. had provided illegal subsidies to Boeing Co.
The U.S. and the European Union have been at odds over subsidies to the world's top two plane makers - Boeing and Europe's Airbus. A WTO panel has also ruled that European governments provided $18 billion in subsidies to Airbus, though not all were deemed illegal.
The trade office claimed the U.S. had complied with the March WTO ruling by stopping select payouts to Boeing through NASA and the Pentagon, and by removing some beneficial tax and funding policies. It did not specify a cost of the measures.
The EU said Monday it will review the U.S. compliance measures.

NO MORE EU and NO MORE UN!!!

Two pains in the rear that hate the USA.
We need to tell Europe we want our money back.

Who defines what is illegal. Obviously whoever benefits the most. Unfortunately it's not the US.
THe EU and The WTO can kiss the USA's *SS.
Bow to EU....for what ?! Keep your back straight and tall !
AirBus get direct CASH support, but Boeing has to build those plane and deliver befor they can get the money.
What? Taking a lesson from the French on how to be a surrender monkey??
What a load of crap. The EU is trying to feather it's own nest by putting constraints on Boeing because Boeing is no outselling Air Bus. The EU has been funneling money left right and centre into Air Bus so it could compete price wise with Boeing and yet those "contributions" are not illegal, then what the hell is. The USA needs to tell the EU to go stuff it and slap sanctions on Air Bus till they clean up their act and not before. The US government is just a bunch of lay down and take it slackers and we need someone in there with a pair that will do something to protect our jobs and business overseas. The EU is going down the tube and they know it.
Pots calling kettles black. Over and over. Dorks. Except that what the WTO apparently doesn't know is the massive influx of illegal public cash flowing still right into both companies via the China and India corporate welfare scams in both Europe and here. Blanket immunity for all upper tier government workers assures the American people can't even legally ask one word about the massive funding we are starting competition against ourselves with. With no action being taken by our people, there will be no more way for the common people who want to start up a business at all soon. Oh, got an innovative idea? Right now, it's sell it to the rich, or be crushed already. While waiting 8-10 years for patent protection, if you ever see a patent at all.
