Alaska Airlines to stop accepting cash for in-flight purchases

SEATTLE (AP) - Alaska Airlines says that starting Aug. 5, cash will no longer be accepted on any of its flights to pay for cocktails, meals, digital movie players and other items.

The Seattle-based airline will only accept credit and debit cards with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express logo.
