American Airlines rolls out new fare structure
DALLAS (AP) — American Airlines is changing the way it charges you to fly.
American will charge up to $88 more per round trip for passengers who want a basic ticket that includes checking baggage or changing the reservation later on. Currently the airline levies separate fees for those and other extras for everyone except premium passengers.
It's calling the new fare levels "Choice," ''Choice Essential" and "Choice Plus."
American said Wednesday that the options will be sold only on its aa.com website for travel in the contiguous 48 states.

Go ahead American Airlines and jack your fees to the moon. You won't be getting any of my money. I will drive, ride the train, or take the damn bus before I will fatten your pockets any more. Lousy service, late flights, dirty aircraft, and seats that a midget would have trouble fitting in. Suff it AA and go suck eggs.
Does this include the change fees they try to hit you with when you have to rebook your flight because American cancelled on you? Â They've tried that on me *twice*.
