White House seeks 'balanced way' to budget fix
WASHINGTON (AP) - The new White House chief of staff says President Barack Obama is concerned about the effect the automatic budget cuts scheduled for next month will have on America's middle class.
Denis McDonough tells ABC's "This Week" that the economy has been getting stronger over the past few months. He cites improvements in housing, the stock market and consumer confidence.
He says the cuts will affect education, mental health services and food safety.
McDonough tells CBS' "Face the Nation" that Obama "is doing everything he can to not let this happen."
He says the White House will push for what he calls a reasonable amount of spending cuts coupled with additional tax revenue.
Republicans oppose any tax increases, but the White House will insist on cutting federal red ink "in a balanced way."

Interesting the way they spin this. So when did the amount spent EVER go down? If this is done it still will not go down yet to hear some of the people in charge itâs all over.
I have an easy answer to balancing the budget. QUIT SPENDING SO MUCH ON THINGS. Try living within your income instead of printing worthless money on top of worthless money to try to cover things. Until you bone heads in Washington DC quit spending what you don't have we will continue falling deeper and deeper into that bottomless pit you are digging. Am I pi$$ed, DAMN RIGHT I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a way.Â
1). Put steep tariffs on imports and refuse in its entirety, entry of any product manufactured by any corporation that off shored the factory or the labor from the states to overseas.
2). Get rid of our right wing politicians that 6 years into a depression still have not done one thing to help restore the mangled middle class but have restored the stock market to 14,000 and now report US corporations as experiencing record cash holdings and earnings.
3). Outlaw the bribery of US lawmakers by lobbyist/corporate interests and make the offense treason.

1). Imports slow and stop (hopefully) on anything that be made here due to increased tariffs and people once again manufacture goods right here and create the tax base this country needs while gaining and creating the only demand possible in a consumer based economy and, thats the demand created when a family has a pay check to spend. You saw demand created while those same families had a home they could use as an ATM but that scam failed for us but was a huge windfall for corporations.
2). The right wing is both parties, there isn't a nickel's difference between d and gop and there hasn't been for 30 years. Carter started bank deregulation and 8 years later we had a banking crisis. Clinton signed NAFTA and 8 years later the middle class as I always knew ceased to exist. obama has continued every ill conceived policy of bush's and even added a few draconian right wing policies of his own. This is still a torture country, we still have two wars were dealing with, we still have gitmo, obama has a new prison to torture at now, we just forced 32 million new paying customers into the insurance industry's grips with no cost containment. He has raised 1.6 billion in corporate campaign contributions while ignoring other dem races. He is the perfect right winger, what more could you guys ask for, destruction of our economy a little sooner? If we had a strong Left wing in this country it would have meant never attacking Iraq, never letting Glas Steagal go, never bailing out a for profit private company, never an economic crisis, Never a Carter, never a Clinton, etc.etc, I could and would go on but you are still stuck at thinking there are two political parties in the US. Something else to ponder sport, if the judiciary doesnt completely throw out the NDAA, your country is at that point, nothing more then a military dictatorship. Wake up soon will ya?
3). "Not much we can do", really? How about working folks that had their jobs outsourced or their factory was moved overseas run for office and we vote them in from dog catcher to president. After that term we elect another and so on. No more attorneys or corporate board members.Â
Allergies? Do you know a beekeeper? Have one set up a couple of production hives in your back yard and use that fresh local honey to build immunity to pollens that are impacting you. If its pollen at your job, set up the hives there. Thats how we dealt with allergies in the old days. If you are just running down to safeway to pick up a honey bear bottle for 10 bucks, dont, bother, it aint honey.

1. If we put steep tariffs on imports then guess what that country does to our imports. You bet they put steep tariffs on ours.
2. The so called right wing politicans represent about 50% of this country. If we get rid of them then we have to get rid of the left wing liberals to create a balance.
3.Well theres not much we can do there and i agree that many lobby groups do have control of much influence.
I did take my meds and now my allergies are at a minimal.
