Groupon an addictive way to save

Groupon an addictive way to save
Have you heard about Groupon? It's a discount Web site with a unique twist.

Every day, it features a product or service from a local business.

But there's a catch. You don't get the deal unless enough people in your area sign up for it. And most times they do.

"I like Groupon because you never really know what you're going to get," says Ginny Miles, a reporter for PC World magazine. "Every day it kind of surprises me."

Ginny says she's quickly becoming addicted to Groupon.

"They work with a lot of up and coming businesses like new restaurants, so you can get some excellent deals."

Here's another site she Ginny likes: kashless.org.

"Kashless is really neat."

It's a lot like freecycle.org, a great place to find free stuff. But Cashless has a rewards program.

"You get a certain number of points if you post an ad or respond to an ad or just participate in their forums," Miles says. "So you get rewarded for just getting rid of your stuff."

You can redeem those points at places like Amazon, Best Buy and Cold Stone Creamery.
