No need to shell out $600 for a good PDA
When it comes to cool design and state of the art technology, Apple's iPhone blows away the competition.

But if you don't need the latest and greatest and you don't want to spend $600, there are plenty of other PDA phones.

"There are other choices on the market that might serve you even better. For example, a phone that actually has a real keyboard, not just a virtual keyboard as the iPhone," says Melissa Perenson, senior products editor at PC World.

PC World's # 1 PDA phone is the RIM Blackberry 8300, also known as the Curve. Priced at just $200 with a service plan, PC World named it a Best Buy.

"The phone is very versatile and it's one of the more consumer-friendly phones that Rim has offered," Pereson says. "It does great messaging and e-mail, but it also integrates multi-media features as well."

Other PC World top-rated PDA phones are:

  • T-Mobile Wing: PC World says "it offers clear calls and long battery life, but some of the buttons are difficult to press."

  • T-Mobile Dash: This impressive phone now has support for Microsoft's productivity applications.

  • Nokia E62: The editors say it's "perfect for people who use productivity software." And at just $130, it's affordable.
