Get free credit, retirement help at Financial Fitness Day
Your credit score is based on information in your credit file. And we know that 20 percent of these files have at least one significant error – a mistake that can have serious financial consequences including a higher credit card interest rate or the denial of a loan.

"So it's very critical that you take a look at your credit report and make sure things are accurate," says Bruce McClary with Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions.

McClary says a lot of people never get their free yearly credit report.

"They're just intimidated by the fact that there's so much information on there it can be confusing to look at," he says.

You can learn all about credit reports, get yours for free and get help on how to read them at Financial Fitness Day this Saturday at Rainier Community Center.

Learn how to save for retirement, deal with debt collectors and buy your first home. Plus there are workshops on how to find a job and managing your money. There's even tax preparation help and document shredding.

It's all free at the Rainier Community Center, Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
