SEATTLE -- A felon possibly involved in a suspicious death in Whatcom County was arrested Tuesday while attempting to elude police in a stolen truck on Whidbey Island, according to the Island County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 41-year-old Whatcom County resident Joshua Adams left his car at a Skagit County gas station and stole a black Ford F-150. Adams may have been involved in a suspicious death in which a 60-year-old man was found dead in his Suddeny Valley residence by his son.
A deputy from the Island County Sheriff's Office spotted the truck on State Route 20 near Coupeville and gave chase.
Despite Adams' attempts to escape, the truck was eventually stopped with the help of the Washington State Patrol and Langley Police Department, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Adams was arrested and booked into Island County Jail for investigation of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. It's possible more crimes will be added to that list by the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office and Skagit County Sheriff's Office.
