Hose thief suspected in Seattle burglary
Surveillance footage shows a man stealing a piece of garden hose from a Queen Anne home. A neighbor suspects the same man is behind a recent burglary at her house.

SEATTLE -- A Queen Anne resident believes the man who burglarized her home last Wednesday was caught on surveillance camera stealing a length of garden hose from her neighbor that same night.

The victim said she arrived home around 11:30 p.m. to find a number of lights on in her home in the 2600 block of 12th Avenue West.

The house had been ransacked, with computers, a guitar, jewelry, bicycles, various electronics and more missing, according to the victim's report submitted to the Seattle Police Department. The victim found some of the missing items in a pillowcase left behind at the scene.

The victim said she believes the burglar got into the house through a basement window.

She also said she believes a man shown on surveillance footage stealing a length of garden hose from a house down the street that same evening is likely responsible for the burglary. She said a neighbor saw the same man near her house around the time of the burglary.

The victim said there have been a number of burglaries in the neighborhood in the past week, and she is hoping police can locate the hose thief.
