SEATTLE -- A man suspected of burglarizing and attempting to burglarize at least three homes in Seattle's Wedgwood neighborhood escaped arrest despite an extensive search after being spotted by officers.

According to the Seattle Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Northeast 97th Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday when a woman heard her neighbor's window being broken out.

While officers were investigating that call, they received another report of a rock through a window in the 3000 block of Northeast 95th Street. While en route, officers spotted a man run into some bushes in the area.

According to police, officers searched for the man with the help of police dogs and a helicopter for two hours but were unable to find him.

A third report of a broken window came from the 3000 block of Northeast 97th Street around 8 p.m., but it did not appear anyone had entered the home.
