Man hospitalized after violent carjacking outside hookah bar

SEATTLE -- A man was hospitalized after being carjacked, robbed and beaten by two men with guns outside a Yesler Terrace hookah bar early Saturday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, the victim was sitting in his car outside the Royal Hookah Lounge in the 200 block of 12th Avenue South around 4 a.m. when two men got in and pointed a gun at his head.

At the men's orders, the victim drove to the 4400 block of Renton Avenue South in Columbia City, according to police. When he stopped the car, the men reportedly hit him in the face and head with their guns multiple times and stole his wallet and cell phone.

The victim told officers the men were in their early 20s and from Somalia. Both men were described as black and wearing black jeans, black shirts and black jackets and drove off in a green Toyota Camry.

Officers were unable to find the men. And, the victim was left with a missing tooth and swollen face and mouth.
