Man starts 2014 with broken nose thanks to bar's tiny bathroom

SEATTLE -- A tight squeeze in a Ballard bar's restroom led to a broken nose for one man this New Year's Eve, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to the police report for the incident, the victim was washing his hands in the restroom of a bar in the 5400 block of  Ballard Avenue Northwest around 11:30 p.m. when a man bumped him from behind.

The man told the victim he didn't have enough room to get by him. The victim countered, saying there was no more room for him to move over.

Eventually, the man made his way out of the restroom, and the victim finished drying his hands.

But when the the victim opened the door, he was immediately punched in the nose by the man, who had been waiting for him outside the restroom, according to the report.

The victim later told officers bar security ignored his yells to stop the man, who ran out of the bar and down the street.

The victim was treated for a broken nose at a local hospital before heading to the North Precinct to report the incident.
