SEATTLE -- The man suspected of following a Crown Hill resident home from a bus stop and raping her July 30 was arrested Aug. 4 by the King County Sheriff's Office for an unrelated Department of Corrections probation warrant.
According to the Seattle Police Department, detectives pieced together the case before interviewing Jeremy Ondracek, who will likely be arrested while in jail on the sexual-assault charges.
According to police, the Ondracek followed the victim to her apartment in the 1700 block of Northwest 85th Street around 3 p.m. and sexually assaulted her in front of her apartment complex.
Ondracek had been in prison for rape until June 28, at which point he was sent to Oklahoma to complete a sentence for violating his supervision in 2009, according to the Department of Corrections.
According to the department, Ondracek completed his sentence in Oklahoma July 18 but failed to report to his community supervisor in Washington. A warrant was issued for his arrest July 25.
