SEATTLE -- Burglars made off with approximately $15,500 and 4.5 pounds of medical marijuana from a grow-op in a Beacon Hill home last weekend, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to the police report for the incident, the victim and a friend left the home in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue South around 9 p.m. last Friday and returned shortly after midnight Saturday to discover someone had broken in through a rear window.

A large safe had been dragged from the victim's bedroom, leaving marks on the floor. According to the report it contained approximately $15,500 and the title to a friend's car.

In addition, 4.5 pounds of marijuana that was packaged, labeled and ready for sale were stolen from the basement, according to the report.

The victim didn't report the burglary until Sunday evening. He told officers he delayed because of the medical marijuana grow-op in his basement.
