SEATTLE -- A cos-player walking around Freeway Park with a fake weapon while attending Sakura-Con last weekend was held up by a man armed with a very real knife, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to the police report for the incident, the victim was in the area for the annual anime festival at the Washington State Convention Center and was walking around Freeway Park shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday when a man grabbed the costume weapon the victim was holding.

The man asked the victim if the weapon was real and if he wanted some drugs, according to the report. The man then reportedly asked the victim if he had any money.

According to the report, the man pulled out a folding knife and told the victim to empty his pockets.

The victim took out his wallet and opened it to show the man he didn't have any money. When the man turned to consult with some friends, the victim took off running, making it back to the Convention Center where he alerted security.

Officers arrived but where unable to find the man.
