Police: Intoxicated woman tried to snatch child near Children's Hospital

SEATTLE -- An intoxicated woman attempted to snatch a child walking with his grandfather near the Seattle Children's Hospital campus Wednesday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, the child and his grandfather were in the 4800 block of Sand Point Way Northeast around 11 a.m. when the 21-year-old woman approached them and tried to grab the child.

The victims ran into the nearby hospital for safety, and police are currently looking for the woman.

The woman is described as black, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 150 pounds. She was wearing a gray beanie, a windbreaker, blue jeans and running shoes.
