Police: Robbers give young victim three pretty terrible options

SEATTLE -- A young man looking to sell some expensive clothing at Golden Gardens Park was instead accosted by a group of robbers who gave him three choices, none of which were particularly tempting, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Officers were called to the Golden Gardens parking lot shortly after 6:15 p.m. Monday by the victim's father. The victim told officers he made arrangements over Facebook to sell some expensive clothing items to three men at the park.

When the victim met the three men on a trail above the beach, they gave him three options, according to the police report for the incident.

One: The victim could just give them the clothing.

Two: The victim could run and they would catch him, beat him up and take the clothing.

Three: They could beat him up right there and take the clothing.

If this were a movie, the victim would have chosen option four and vanquished the robbers with some newly learned karate skills or the help of his pet Mogwai. Unfortunately, this is real life so the victim handed over the clothes and his cellphone and ran off.

The victim told the officers he heard the three men say they were going to go play on a nearby tree swing, but officers were unable to find them.
