Renton woman arrested on suspicion of killing husband

RENTON, Wash. -- A woman has been arrested for shooting and killing her husband Sunday afternoon while her children were in the house, according to the Renton Police Department.

According to police, the 34-year-old woman called 911 shortly before 1:40 p.m. and said she had shot her husband.

Officers arrived in the 12400 block of Southeast 184th Street to find the 31-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers and medics attempted to provide aid, but the victim died at the scene, according to police.

The woman was arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic-violence homicide.

According to police, the woman's children, who were home at the time of the shooting, were released to a family friend.
