SEATTLE -- The Seattle Police Department is looking for a man suspected of stealing hundreds of dollars from a blind man Saturday morning in downtown Seattle.

According to police, the victim was using the ATM outside the Bank of America in the 400 block of Pike Street around 7:30 a.m. when the suspect grabbed him from behind and demanded money.

The victim handed over the cash he had just withdrawn, and the suspect ran off, according to police.

A witness flagged down officers, who gave the victim a ride home but were unable to find the suspect.

Before fleeing, the suspect reportedly gave the victim a cigarette, and police are unsure why. Perhaps the suspect thinks this makes it a transaction and not a robbery?
