EVERETT, Wash. -- The Everett Police Department has released a surveillance image of the man wanted on suspicion of shooting a stranger following an argument outside a 7-Eleven earlier this month.

According to police, the victim was paying at the register of the 7-Eleven located at, coincidentally, 711 112th Street Southeast around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10 when he saw the suspect, who he believed was casing the business for a robbery.

The victim reportedly notified the clerk and challenged the suspect, who left the store.

When the victim exited the store, he was confronted by the suspect armed with a gun, according to police. The two men got into an argument, and the suspect reportedly shot the victim in the shoulder before running off.

The victim was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, and police have so far been unable to locate the suspect.
