Police release sketch of Fircrest child-luring suspect

FIRCREST, Wash. -- The Fircrest Police Department has released a sketch of a man suspected of attempting to lure a middle-school student walking to her bus stop Wednesday morning.

According to police, the victim was walking on Alameda Avenue near Whittier Elementary School around 7:20 a.m. when the man drove past in a gold, four-door sedan and honked his horn.

The man reportedly drove by a second time and offered the victim candy and money to get in his car.

The victim ran to a nearby house for help, and the man drove off.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a black baseball hat and a white jacket with red and black stripes on the shoulders.
