Woman arrested after shots fired in South Seattle

SEATTLE -- Officers arrested a woman after she opened fire Monday morning at her home in the Seward Park neighborhood of Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, the suspect fired a number of shots around 10:30 a.m. at her home near 51st Avenue South and South  Brandon Street. No injuries or victims were reported.

SWAT officers responded to the scene, and the suspect was arrested without incident following a short standoff.

Students at six nearby schools were sheltering in place prior to the arrest.
