Sheriff: Man shot after hours-long argument about car

TAHUYA, Wash. -- An hours-long argument about a car finally ended with one man shooting another in the stomach Wednesday night in Tahuya, according to the Mason County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the 57-year-old suspect and 31-year-old victim were in a dispute over a car that lasted from the afternoon through the evening.

Eventually, the suspect reportedly came onto the victim's property, shot the victim's car and then shot the victim.

The suspect was arrested following a two-hour search and booked into Mason County Jail for investigation of assault.

The victim was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, where he was treated and released.
