Sheriff: Woman has throat cut in Sedro Woolley; suspect arrested

SEDRO WOOLLEY, Wash. -- A 52-year-old woman has been arrested after apparently cutting the throat of another woman inside a Sedro Woolley home Monday morning, according to the Skagit County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to a residence in the 2400 block of Hoehn Road around 7 a.m. for reports of an assault in which a woman had her throat cut.

The 34-year-old victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was taken to a different hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries, prior to being booked into Skagit County Jail.

The Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
