State Penitentiary on lockdown after inmate stabbed

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla is in lockdown after an inmate was stabbed multiple times Tuesday morning.

According to the State Penitentiary, the stabbing took place in the common area of D Unit in the West Complex around 8:30 a.m.

All four units of the West Complex are currently in lockdown, and 26-year-old inmate Justin Crenshaw is being held while law enforcement and prison staff investigate.
