Suspects arrested in Pioneer Square robbery, stabbing

SEATTLE -- Officers arrested a 39-year-old man and 44-year-old woman Monday night in connection with a stabbing and robbery earlier this month in Pioneer Square.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the victim in the incident was beaten, stabbed in the back and robbed around 8:40 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South. The victim, who was hospitalized following the attack, told officers the man who stabbed him also had a gun in his waistband.

An investigation led to two suspects -- a man and woman -- who were found at First Avenue and Pike Street around 9 p.m. Monday. Officers arrested the pair, reportedly finding a knife and BB gun ammo on them.

The suspects were booked into King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
