Teen arrested for allegedly bringing stun gun onto school bus

SEATAC, Wash. -- A 13-year-old student at Chinook Middle School was arrested Friday morning for bringing a stun gun onto a school bus, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a parent saw the student with what looked like a gun at a bus stop around 8 a.m.

The parent notified Chinook Middle School, and officers from the SeaTac Police Department stopped the bus en route to the school.

Officers removed all students from the bus and searched them and their backpacks for weapons, finding only the stun gun, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The student was arrested and booked into the Youth Services Center for investigation of bringing a dangerous weapon onto school facilities.

According to the Sheriff's Office, police still do not know why the student the was bringing the stun gun to school.
