MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- A man responsible for causing a disturbance on a Greyhound bus later attacked a trooper along I-5 near Marysville, according to the Washington State Patrol.

WSP received the 911 call about an issue on a southbound Greyhound bus shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday. When a trooper responded the scene, he found the bus pulled over along the freeway and a man lying on the ground nearby, according to WSP.

When the trooper approached the man, he reportedly got off the ground and attacked the trooper.

According to WSP, the trooper was able to fend the man off and taze him into submission.

The man was arrested and taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The trooper was also taken to the hospital with a black eye and bloody nose.
