Wanted criminal reportedly escapes out patrol-car window

PARKLAND, Wash. -- Pierce County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a wanted criminal in connection with no less than nine crimes after the 23-year-old man allegedly escaped out a patrol-car window Saturday in Parkland.

Adrian Gomez is wanted on warrants for resisting arrest, obstructing law enforcement, driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence, failure to have an ignition interlock device, domestic-violence assault and violation of a domestic-violence no-contact order. He is also wanted for investigation of unlawful possession of a firearm and escape.

According to Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County, Gomez was pulled over by a Pierce County Sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop Saturday and found to have a loaded gun on him. Gomez was arrested but reportedly escaped through the patrol-car's window and disappeared.

Crime Stoppers is warning residents that Gomez has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.

He is described as a Hispanic man standing 6 feet tall and weighing 225 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has "253" and "West Side" tattooed on his neck and a teardrop tattooed below his eye.
