Lawmakers say CIA may have misled filmmakers
WASHINGTON (AP) - Lawmakers are accusing the CIA of misleading the makers of the Osama bin Laden raid film, "Zero Dark Thirty," by telling them that harsh interrogation methods helped track down the terrorist mastermind.
The film shows waterboarding and similar techniques as important to finding bin Laden in Pakistan, where he was killed by Navy SEALs.
A three-year Senate investigation showed that such methods produced no useful intelligence. The CIA's acting director, Michael Morell, recently contradicted that, saying harsh techniques did produce some tips that led to bin Laden.
In a letter to the CIA this week, Sens. Dianne Feinstein of California, John McCain of Arizona and others asked Morell to back up his claim and to share documents showing what the filmmakers were told.
The CIA says it will cooperate.

stupid idiots... they should have contacted me for the truth... as for the interrogation methods used to obtain the location of osama bin laden.... i'll tell you... there was only one interrogation method at that time... and his name was CHUCK NORRIS!!!
Oh they were wrong all right. With no photos released, no evidence released, no eye-witness accounts, no SEALS identified, and the body immediately buried at sea (which is NOT Islamic tradition, they only bury at sea if a Muslim dies at sea), one has to wonder...exactly what did happen?

Contrast this with Saddam Hussein. The soldiers went on a media spree and became national hero's. Saddams face was everywhere, and video of his execution was leaked not to mention his dead blown up sons' pictures were on the front page of newspapers before his capture.
 @Dredd57 Actually they also bury at sea if it is not possible to return the body to shore before decay occurs or if there is a chance that the body may be dug up after it is buried.
