Courtney Love, singer and widow of the late Kurt Cobain, has been suicidal ever since she discovered that his ashes were missing from her home, according to a report by the British tabloid News of the World.

The newspaper claims Love had kept Cobain's ashes in a pink teddy bear bag which also contained a lock of his hair.

Love discovered the bag was missing several weeks ago. Also missing were "thousands of pounds worth of clothes and jewelry," the report said.

"I can't believe anyone would take Kurt's ashes from me," Love told the tabloid. "I find it disgusting and right now I'm suicidal."

Cobain, the lead singer and guitarist of the band Nirvana, was found dead in his Seattle home in 1994. His death was a ruled a suicide.

The reportedly stolen bag only contained some of the late singer's ashes; the majority were spread at a New York Buddhist temple and in Washington's Wishkah River.
