GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) - "American Idol" contestant Kristy Lee Cook of Selma, Ore., has a record deal again.

The Grants Pass Daily Courier reports that Cook has signed with 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville and plans a single next month, "15 Minutes of Shame," and an album in the fall.

Cook tells the paper that signing the contract was part of a whirlwind of activity around a tour of American Idol singers that began this week.

She says she expects to see family and friends next week when the tour hits Portland.

Cook signed with Arista at age 17, but little came of it. She finished seventh in this year's "American Idol" competition.
