Oregon woman vies for rose on 'Bachelor'
NEWBERG, Ore. - The competition to win the heart of a pilot begins Monday night on ABC's "The Bachelor."

One of the women vying for the bachelor's heart - and a rose at the end the first show - is from Oregon.

Tenley Molzahn is a 2002 graduate of Newberg High School. She now lives in Huntington Beach, Calif.

The show says she is 25 and works in college admissions. Molzahn was a barista at Chapter's Books, a Newberg coffee and book shop, before heading to California.

Elizabeth Rogers, a Chapter's barista and one of several family members working in this locally-owned shop, worked with Molzahn about four years ago.

"She was always really nice, a really cute girl," Rogers said. "She grew up dancing here, and was in Disneyland dancing at one point in the parades ... which is pretty cool."

The new season of "The Bachelor" starts Monday night at 8 p.m. For show fans, this season features the bachelor Jake Pavelka who was sent packing by Jillian during last year's, "The Bachelorette."

"I hope she does really," Rogers said. "After all, pretty much all of Newberg is watching."

On the season premiere, Pavelka meets 25 women who hope to be his partner. Molzahn is one of those potential partners.
