Their personal lives may be in turmoil, but professionally, both are on an upswing.
The 40-year-old Poehler became famous as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live." She now stars in the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation" and is up for an Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series.
Arnett's breakout role was on Fox's "Arrested Development." The 42-year-old Arnett now co-stars with Christina Applegate on the NBC comedy "Up All Night."

I don't understand why people in their 40s with two young children would choose to seperate. Go seek counseling, but to start over in your 40s with two young children just seems strange to me. Marriage in my opinion is strange as well, to say that you are only going to mate and love one person for your entire life doesn't even fit in to how humans really are so they force it as if it's something we must do 'partner up' via a piece of paper. The commitment is not on paper, obviously as we see time and time again. If I were married with two young kids and in my 40s I'd try every alternate route before ending my marriage, maybe they have. At any rate, it's not my life.
@alildifferent I agree. My husband and I are mid-40's, with four kids seven and younger (we've been married 12 years). We've been "to heck and back" on so much during those 12 years, but neither of us would throw in the towel. However, we've not dealt with infidelity on either's part; and I do say that would dissolve the marriage. Perhaps that would be the problem between Pohler and Arnett.
@alildifferent It's better to come from a broken home than to live in one.
@AndySue28 I didn't find it better. My mother struggled with three small children. It was a very hard childhood with my dad living 6 states away.
I gotta say, I expect all Hollywood marriages to end, but not theirs. They really seem perfect together. I wish the best for their sons.
@dancingnights999 I agree.I lusually don't care about celebrity relationships but did like them.
Instead of fighting to keep gays from marrying, we should fight to keep those in Hollywood from marrying.
Â
@Bianca or anywhere - statistics don't show the population staying married.
Sad, they seem to have a lot in common. Â It'll be hard on their sons especially, they are so young and easily confused. Â
