Anna Nicole Smith's daughter follows in mom's modeling footsteps

The 6-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith is walking in her mother's shoes, taking a starring role in the spring ad campaign for Guess Kids.
Guess? Inc.'s creative director Paul Marciano says in a statement that Dannielynn Birkhead has the "same playful spirit" that her mother would carry onto a set.
The brand hired Smith in 1992, and she appeared in its sexy denim-wear ads through 1993. She was a relative modeling unknown at the time, although earlier in 1992 she was on a Playboy magazine cover.
Smith died in 2007.
Dannielynn's campaign also stars Peyton Edmunds, the daughter of music industry veteran Babyface.
The ads were shot on a Malibu, Calif., beach, and they'll start appearing in magazines, on billboards and on buses beginning in January.

Why would you want her to do what her mother did and headed down the same path as her mom and Lindsay Lohan? Poor thing!Â
Girl attached to name of well-known celebrity gets modeling gig! WOW What a surprise! Â Had she not been known through Mommy she'd just be another girl, but living a normal life. Â
who. effin. cares. Â This is not accomplishment. Â This is just publicity.
What a beautiful little girl. I sure hope being in this industry doesn't lead her down the same path as her mom. I'm sure her "dad" is rubbing his hands together thinking of all the money he can make of her.Â
 @casey42 lets hope they dont drug her up too ,How embarrassing .
I hope the adults in her life have enough sense to teach her the dangers of booze, drugs and letting fame go to your head. Hate to see what happened to her mother repeat itself.
She is a darling little girl, but given what happened with her mother I would think that any loving father would keep his little girl as far away from that industry as possible. I pray this child does not walk the same path her mother did.
 @alaska_dreamin.Â
Oh yeah, I posted above before reading the comments. I agree. Any loving father would keep his little girl away from that industry and not capitalize on who her mother was. She is a beautiful little girl, but really? I'm tired of seeing beautiful little girls grow up to be (apologies) the Lindsey Lohans of the world .. .you know?  I know there have to be some well-balanced children of "stars" ... but can anyone just rattle off a few?  None come immediately to mind.
There is "Guess kids"? Really? Hell no!!
I hope this is what she wants. I remember sitting in a waiting room with my son to see his doctor, when someone came up to us and ask if they could use my son to advertise on billboards for them, I was OK with it, and thought this is pretty cool. After his picture went up, the phone would not stop ringing for him to do more shots. I made the decision to let him be a kid and not go into modeling. My son knows he can tell me at any time that is what he wants, but I know first hand that a kid wants to be a kid not a model.Â
Well, they did wait until she was 6 to exploit her and have her support them. Sad, she deserves a life of privacy after what she's been through.
That picture looks like what any teenage girl could do with instagram.
 @3rase You obviously don't have an "eye" for photography.
I would think this Dad would allow his daughter to be a child and not grow up like her mother. This is so sad.
That's appalling. How can the idiot in charge (her dad??) do this?
Â
I'm sure there's money to support her, unless the lawyers got it all. The court stuff was surely in the news a lot.
Â
Crummy, idiotic, short sighted, mean spirited people in charge of a kid who needs a rock-solid childhood in order to navigate the rest of her life. Clearly she has the genetic predisposition to overdoing everything. She needs guidance and love and a childhood right now, not a career.
Jeez...what's the matter, "Dad"? The kid wasn't pulling her own weight so you decided she needed to make a few bucks?
Â
Let the kid be a kid!
Well, it all turned out really well for Anna Nicole, so I'm sure nothing will go wrong.
 @belsnickles sarcasm ?
WOW - 6 already?! Â Adorable girl, but hope she doesn't follow too closely in her mother's footsteps. Â
She is a stunning little girl. I wish all the best for her :)
Wow isn't she beautiful! Oh pleeeease don't let her go down the same roads as Britney Spears and the other little girls gone wrong in this business.
@cm257n7 You for got the most importnat person not to follow...her mother.
 @Surveyor1  @cm257n7 Agreed, but I hoped that was a given.
