Billy Idol plays Bothell man's birthday

SEATTLE -- A local man's improbable dream of having rock legend Billy Idol play a concert for his birthday came true Friday night.
It was two years ago that Michael Henrichsen launched his relentless campaign to convince Idol to come to the Emerald City to play his birthday.
All that work paid off Friday night when Idol and his band took the stage at Seattle's Showbox at the Market.
Idol said he had been aware of Henrichsen's campaign for some time.
"Two or three years ago I started to see some of the Youtube videos he'd made with some of the different musicians, sports people and celebrities who were asking me to play his birthday party," Idol said. "He also drove Steve Stevens, my guitar player's wife, nuts by tweeting her all the time."

I worked in record stores the mid 70-80's. Â He had a huge impact during that period. Â Glad to see him rocket back through the bad times he's had and make an honest comeback over the years into a solid world class rock and roller again. Â
Â
You rock Billy! Â Did anyone do a review of this party/show?
from KING 5: "The pop star agreed to perform at Michael Henrichsen's party after two years of creative begging and pleading"
Pop star? Get real, Billy Idol has always been a rocker. Man, the media just cannot get it right about anything.
Happy Birthday, Michael! You really earned this one!!
Dang, Billy looks great!
So awesome - If you don't ask - the answer will most certainly always be NO! :)Â

It was a great concert. Fantastic. Billy Idol rocked. You could tell he was into it, not just doing another show. He rocked the house last night.
@Bellevue Scott  Did he do Mony, Mony?
I'm glad he did the concert. What a cool birthday. Billy could have been a bit more gracious about it. To have someone still in love with his music in this day and age, he should be flattered. Instead, he comes across as annoyed.
@kockatoo Well, he has his punk rocker image to uphold, you know.  However, I read some of his other quotes about this and the were much nicer.  I have a feeling these comments were tongue in cheek.
That is so cool that he followed through like that. Â Good PR for Billy and best birthday ever for Michael. Â Happy Birthday!
Thank you Billy Idol.... I didn't get to go. :(  Oh, well Happy Birthday Michael Henrichsen....
How cool is that! I would have loved to have seen Billy Idol and I am sure Michael's birthday party will be one that will be talked about for generations.
