'Breaking Bad' actor runs for NM school board seat

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An actor from the TV show "Breaking Bad" is seeking to win a seat on Albuquerque's school board.
Steven Michael Quezada, who plays federal drug agent Steven Gomez on the Albuquerque-based show, is running unopposed Tuesday for a seat on the city's West Side.
There's no incumbent in that district, and Quezada was the only candidate to file for the position.
Three of Quezada's four children attend the Public Academy for the Performing Arts, a charter school where the actor has been active on the governing board.
The AMC hit television series is finishing filming its fifth and final season.
"Breaking Bad" follows former high school teacher Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul.

Running unopposed. What's wrong with that picture? True all over america. Great show btw.
Best show ever.Â
@Isadora
Why is dealing meth a good thing?
@Alikelystorey Dealing meth = bad. The show = good. It's hardly an endorsement of making, selling, or using meth. Or have you never watched the show?
 @Alikelystorey  @belsnickles I understand.  You'd be hard-pressed to find someone as anti-drug as I am, yet I LOVE this show.  I wasn't prepared to even like it when my husband and I started watching it.  The acting, casting, intricacy of the plot - they are all the best I've ever seen.  It is not in any way a celebration of drugs; to the contrary, it nicely demonstrates the absolute devastation of the drug to those involved in its manufacture, sale and use.  It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you enjoy "tight" storytelling and amazing acting, you could give it a try. :)
@belsnickles I admit I don't watch the show. Acting may be great. I'm just not interested in a show about a meth dealer. No problem with airing the show or anyone who watches it.
