Chevy Chase leaving NBC's sitcom 'Community'

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The NBC series "Community" will finish the season without Chevy Chase.
Sony Pictures Television said Wednesday that the actor is leaving the sitcom by mutual agreement with producers.
His immediate departure means he won't be included in the last episode or two of the show's 13-episode season, which is still in production.
Chase had a rocky tenure playing a bored and wealthy man who enrolls in community college. The actor publicly expressed unhappiness at working on a sitcom and feuded last year with the show's creator and former executive producer, Dan Harmon.
The fourth-season premiere of "Community" is Feb. 7, when it makes a delayed return to the 8 p.m. EST Thursday time slot. The show's ensemble cast includes Joel McHale and Donald Glover.

Chevy has really evolved from very funny to a disillusion, bitter, selfish and lost man. He is not that tunny any more. Unfortunate he could not keep some focus and perspective as Dan and Bill seem to have done.
Â
I think fame and absurd fortune lead some weak character traits to the top of the heap. Self adoration, Napoleon complexes, a different level or plane of existence above the common person who as them, will leave this earth with all they came in with.
Â
Bye Chevy. Maybe you and Sheen can hook up, do a series about bitter overpaid actors. ACTOR.
Â
Not engineer that designed a lunar lander or words best shaver. Â ACTOR.Â
One of the funniest people ever on SNL (and in Caddyshack, Vacation, etc.); maybe beyond his funny peak now. At first glance I thought the picture was Dick Cheney. Chevy might have a future in political drama (falling down in the Situation Room...).
And as he left the meeting he yelled: "I want to look him straight in the eye and tell him what a cheap, lying, no good, rotten, far flushing, snake licking, dirt eating, inbreed, overstuffed, ignorant, blood sucking, dog kissing, brainless, d!@kless, hopeless, heartless, fat @$$ed, bug eyed, stiff legged, spotty lipped, worm headed, sack of monkey $h!t he is!!! Halleluiah!! Holy $h!t!! Where's the Tylenol??"
Your rant is senseless... at least if you're going to rant and rave about something, make sure everyone can tell what exactly you're trying to say!!!
@ljgossett Been living under a rock?
@ljgossett It's a quote from Christmas Vacation. Chevy's character ranting after not receiving a Christmas bonus.
I got a tweet from "Old White Man Says" that he was quitting long before this article was posted.
Chrismas Vacation is all the Chevy Chase (and Randy Quaid) I need.
Good - we're due for another "Vacation" movie.
Im chevy chase and your not
