Duchess Kate revisits 'happiest' days at school

LONDON (AP) - The Duchess of Cambridge has gone back to school.
The royal, formerly known as Kate Middleton, played hockey and revealed her childhood nickname - Squeak - when she returned to her elementary school for a visit Friday.
Kate told teachers and students at the private St. Andrew's School in southern England that her 10 years there were "some of my happiest years." She said she enjoyed it so much that she had told her mother she wanted to return as a teacher.
Kate, who captained the hockey team at her high school, joined a group of 12-year-olds for a training session in a green-and-blue Alexander McQueen tartan coat and three-inch-high boots.
The 30-year-old duchess attended the school from 1986 until 1995.

Wow, playing hockey in boots with heels...impressive! Â Also, that outfit looks constricting and unforgiving. Not the best for an impromptu hockey game. She looks graceful, beautiful!! Â
Clearly schools abroad are different than here in the US because when I read she spent 10 years at the Elementary school, I thought "dang, 10 years in elementary can't be that good."Â LOL
At Photo #3: Â Plus points for managing to look so ladylike while playing hockey. Â
I find it strange that we Americans remain fascinated with the British Monarchy, a system that our national character rejects. But the fact is we are, so there you go...
Â
Having said all that, I admit to being like just like everyone else in that I have a 'geek crush' with Duchess Kate. *chuckle*Â She seems like a lovely woman and she's taken to the Royal life in a way that Diana never did. Here's hoping that she can live up to the very large expectations of her.
 @svensson In my opinion, Dianna was far above the Royal life. I feel they were intimidated by her and her natural caring nature and refusal to be put into her place. That is an asset to her sons and gives them the best tools to not only be a Royal but also be true to themselves. As for Kate, she does seem very lady-like, lovely and secure with herself.
 @Robinsnest  @svensson Well said.
i am impressed she can run in those heels !
