Hulk Hogan sues surgery clinic for $50 million
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Wrestler Hulk Hogan has filed a lawsuit against the Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute, saying the clinic did unnecessary surgeries that damaged his career.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that Hogan filed the lawsuit Monday. He filed under his real name, which is Terry Bollea. It seeks damages of $50 million.
In addition to claiming unnecessary surgeries, the lawsuit also says the Laser Spine Institute used an endorsement from Hogan without permission or payment.
The Laser Spine Institute says it is aware of the lawsuit, but to protect patient privacy, it does not want to discuss details of the case.
It all ends with a lawsuit now.
Or maybe he has a legit complaint. That *can* happen. I had a procedure that was botched when I was 15 and wasn't made aware of it until last year and given a lot of doctors telling me there was nothing wrong and that sometimes your bones just "lock up". Finally forced a doctor to do an MRI (MS insurance is great... or it was until the change this January) and lo and behold. There really *WAS* an issue and it took a year's worth of surgury to correct.

This old worn out piece of leather should have retired from wrestling a long time ago, and now he's suing his surgeon? Good luck with that Hulk!  Maybe its because your 59 years old that you cant wrestle anymore......that and the steroids, hard living and body slams. HMMM, probably not the surgeons fault.Â

I'm guessing if he needed spine surgery his career was already over. Comes with the territory.
What? Forget all of you guys. Hulk Hogan is an icon and the single most inspirational person of my entire childhood. His career and persona inspired me to bodybuild. I don't care if he's washed up, this guy will always be worth my attention.Â
