Insane Clown Posse sues FBI over Juggalos report
FLINT, Mich. (AP) — Lawyers for rap-metal duo Insane Clown Posse have filed a lawsuit in Michigan seeking documents that would explain why the FBI considers its fans a gang.
The federal lawsuit says the FBI failed to timely respond to a 2011 request under the Freedom of Information Act.
Insane Clown Posse fans are known as Juggalos. Last year, the FBI included Juggalos in its national report on gangs.
The report doesn't mention a direct connection to Insane Clown Posse, but says many Juggalos have "gang-like behavior" and commit crimes and violence. The report includes a picture of a Juggalo wearing face paint and aiming a gun.
The group says its fans are a "family," not a gang.
Detroit FBI spokesman Simon Shaykhet declined comment Wednesday. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Flint.

It really is kinda' stupid to call them a gang. It is more like a cult as KOMODrone says, but not completely.  I do agree with the FBI that a great portion of the Juaggalos are a bit thuggish and punk-like, but they're definitely not a gang. I hope they win the lawsuit.
Yeah, that's right, it's not as much as a gang as they are more of a cult. They are also extremely hateful, violent, drug-using, and dangerous losers who actually get their jollies off of looking for trouble. The FBI should have a special category just for them.

Not a fan of the ICP but also not enjoying the heavy-handed tactics our government is bringing onto it's own citizens either. Freedom is beginning to feel like a fleeting thing.
 @theToucan Freedom IS a fleeting thing in this country if things don't change. There are "Juggalo's" (the fans), and "Juggalo's" (the gangs). Being a musician, (and not a fan of I.C.P. mind you) they DO have a large fan base of decent people. SOME of their fans have taken things over the top, started gangs, and have created this mess, under the guise of being "Juggalo's," when they're just a bunch of punk wannabe's that call themselves a "gang" and start crap. (put them up against a REAL gang like Bloods or Crips, they'd all poop themselves) I remember a similar situation back in the 80's when all of us KISS fans, in "The KISS Army", were all Satanists. (K.I.S.S.........Knights In Satan's Service) I.C.P. has a right to go after anyone who slanders their name by law, but in the meantime, maybe these "Christians" should clean up their act.
