Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez call it quits
NEW YORK (AP) - A source confirms to The Associated Press that Justin Bieber is no longer Selena Gomez's "Boyfriend."
The source is not authorized to discuss the split with the press and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The breakup apparently happened last week. Distance and their busy schedules were cited as factors.
Eighteen-year-old Bieber is touring to promote his latest album, "Believe," which contains the hit "Boyfriend." Twenty-year-old Gomez is filming a "Wizards of Waverly Place" reunion for the Disney Channel.
The pair made their relationship public in February 2011.

Bieber seems to be doing OK, at least publicly. On the red carpet of Wednesday's Victoria's Secret fashion show he said, "I'd rather be here than anywhere in the world."

After all those VS models there sheesh that would make this girl look plain as hell... he is 18.. sheesh anyway at this day and age you turn girlfriends very often as one should... I mean do you buy a car without taking a test drive? ... at age 18 sheesh as disliked as he is by us guys good for him not wanting to tie himself up to anyone right now!

I went through six girls over 12 years of various lengths until I finally found my wife and married at the age of 30... by then all my party days are behind me and I did everything I wanted to do before settling... now we are doing things together and I look forward to each thing we do together and the many years we have left. Again 18 sheesh this young mans just getting started he should be enjoying himself!
My son will be happy to hear this. He's got a crush on Selena Gomez! LOL!

I have no idea if he's gay,nor do I care. But if the picture means anything, I can see why he might have bailed. Am I being unfair? I have no idea who this girl is; but that was not a flattering picture
 @Alikelystorey If you've seen other photos of her, you'd think otherwise. That's a fairly bad one. Google her though. Some of those photos will make you drool....Â
 @Alikelystorey He's no cuter than she is, so, yes, I think you're being unfair.  (And, speaking as someone who spent years working in family law doing divorces, looks are not usually the reason that people "bail" on their mates, believe it or not.)
It took Selena long enough to find out he was gay. I wonder what happened... Did she walk in on him and her brother?
 @PackersCougsBravesSounders This reminds me of the old Hollywood studio practice of setting up covertly gay actors (Rock Hudson, for example) in sham "lavender marriages."  The wives stayed on their arms in front of  the photogs for a couple of years to encourage the idea that they were desirable, then their gigs were up.  I think Selena's gig was up.
Love all the comments about "Why should we care" and "who the hell cares" but yet they took the time to comment. People care more then they like to let on.

I don't follow these two at all however I do have a teen daughter(who does not like Beiber) so I have heard of these kids. I said from day one, I felt their "relationship" was solely for publicity to help Justin Beiber become popular with the young girls. Honestly, if he were to have been known as 'gay" then I don't feel he would have gotten the following he has because young girls wouldn't spend their time daydreaming about someday marrying him if they knew there was never a chance of that if he didn't like girls. The likelihood of them having that chance is so slim, but him being known as gay, would wipe it out completely. Yes, I am sure young homosexual boys love him, too, however they wouldn't have been enough to make him so popular. I wonder who his "handlers" will get now to pretend to be his girlfriend.
