Lady Gaga unable to walk, postpones 4 shows

NEW YORK (AP) — Lady Gaga says she's "heartsick" to postpone four shows after sustaining an injury that's left her unable to walk.
A Tuesday news release says performances set for Feb. 13-14 in Chicago, Feb. 16 in Detroit and Feb. 17 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, have been postponed.
Gaga took to Twitter to explain, saying she injured herself during a performance some time ago and her condition has worsened, leaving her immobile following Monday's concert in Montreal. She's been hiding the injury from her staff, but can no longer perform.
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the last month it has worsened," she wrote. "I've been praying it would heal".
Neither Lady Gaga nor the news release specifies what the injury is. The remainder of the "Born This Way Ball" tour is expected to continue on schedule, beginning with a two-night stand in Philadelphia on Feb. 19-20. Makeup dates for the missed shows will be announced later.

All you GaGa haters are entitled to your opinion but you really need to look past what you see on the outside and get to know the artist. She is not only an incredible talent but a wonderful, caring, person with a very good soul. So don't judge until you really know what the heck you are talking about!
We're not all old and unpleasant. I'm in my late 50s and enjoy Gaga's music very much. I turn on her music when I feel the need to let loose mentally. Yes, she's outrageous, but she's far from the only outrageous music star over the last 50 years... many of whom the "old" people here grew up loving and have since become mainstream. Don't forget when your parents hated the Beatles, the Stones, the Ramones, the Grateful Dead, David Bowie, Alice Cooper...
@TheMadTurk Same here.  She really is quite talented but her antics overshadow that.  Her music is fun and catchy.  She encourages people to accept and embrace who they are, and I admire that too.
Sounds like we have a bunch of "old" people chiming in on Gaga...Â
She's unique, just not in a good way...
Yikes, that one nasty looking person...
Damn she is hard to look at. Not good looking, can't sing. I'm still trying to figure out the popularity on this one.
Unable to walk from too many guys having their way after the last concert.
Would have been better if that read "Lady Gaga unable to sing, postpones entire career."
@jowsuf Well, she really is unable to sing. We're just waiting for the postponing part!
Is that her nipple poking out from her outfit? If one of those cancelled shows happened to be here, she'd be doing the community a favor.
@Zoso She was just here, sorry.
@Doxie @Zoso Ya and my Daughter all of 5yrs and I were there and it was amazing!
Wonder if it's plantar fasciitis that just got too bad to continue. Â That's a chronic injury that hurts like HELL at its worst.
@Doxie I agree!!! I have it and its the most painful thing to have. I got cortisone's shots in each foot back in November.Starting to feel it coming back.
@2ndstartothenorth  @Doxie You better start rolling that arch on something hard, icing it and your heel, and stretch the bejeebers out of your calves!  I've had it almost 2 years and those things really help when it starts flaring up, which doesn't take much sometimes.  With those high-high shoes she wears, I would not be surprised if that's what happened to her.  It shortens the muscles and really aggravates that condition.
@Doxie Txs Doxie!!!! Keep you updated...
@2ndstartothenorth  @Doxie Here's one good video, among many.  I roll on an icy bottle (as he mentions) and do major calf stretches, either dangling my heel below a stair or just a simple calf extension with my feet way behind me.  I can literally feel the tightness release with that stretch.  Often the injury is due to chronically tight calves.  I wish you the best!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q0MUfIL_cA
@Doxie I have the inserts, molded to my arches too.Real good support shoes and that boot,.Haaaa.Could never do the boot thou.I will for sure start the icing and stretching faithfully. And the rolling of the arches.
@2ndstartothenorth  @Doxie Nip it in the bud if you can.  Maybe you need inserts to support your arches too.  Also, sleeping with one of those boots really helps, because your foot can't contract during the night and tighten up.  My husband calls it good birth control - sexy boots!  You can get them at Target or a pharmacy, well worth the $30 or whatever they cost.  I'm a runner and have talked to a couple other runners (ironically as I was coming out of physical therapy) who swear by rolling that arch faithfully each day.  If you freeze a water bottle and roll it on that, you save time because you're icing at the same time!  Good luck.
@Doxie That's what the Dr. sezs too.Im on my feet 12 hours a day doing a very physical type workout job.Times that 5 days a week.Im taking your advice serious now.Im just so tired when I get home.Txs for the advice...:)
Looks like Chicago got a visit from the Angel of Mercy.
